Before joining the Shahdag Summit Tour, we recommend familiarizing yourself with all the details of the tour. This is especially useful for those attempting the summit for the first time and will help you avoid unexpected situations. Knowing the physical challenges, route duration, and weather conditions in advance will ensure that you are properly prepared for the expedition.
Day 1: Baku - Guba - Khinalig - Shahyaylag - Shahdag Camp
We depart from Baku and travel towards Khinalig village in the Guba region (approximately 5 hours). After completing our final shopping in Guba, we continue towards Khinalig. From Khinalig village, we travel by off-road vehicles towards the Shahdag base camp (approximately 2 hours). After getting out of the vehicles, we hike for approximately 45 minutes to reach the camp. After setting up our tents and taking some rest, we go on an acclimatization hike to adapt to the altitude. After dinner, we complete our preparations for the summit and spend the night at the camp.
Day 2: Shahdag Camp - Shahdag Summit
We start our ascent to the Shahdag Summit at 05:00 in the morning. The ascent to the summit takes approximately 6-7 hours. After reaching the summit, we take photos and rest before beginning our descent to the camp. The descent takes approximately 3-4 hours. We spend the night at the camp.
Day 3: Shahdag Camp - Khinalig - Guba - Baku
After breakfast, we pack our tents and descend towards the vehicles. We then travel back to Khinalig village. There, we change vehicles and continue our journey towards Baku.
