Before joining the horse tour, it is important to familiarize yourself with all the details of the tour. This is especially useful for first-time riders and helps prevent unexpected situations. Knowing in advance about the difficulty level of the route, required equipment, distance, and weather conditions will help you move more comfortably and safely during the tour.

Horse Tour Program:

Day 1: Baku – Guba – Griz Village

We depart from Baku to Griz village in Guba (3 hours). From Guba, we take 4x4 vehicles to Griz village. In Griz village, we get acquainted with the horses and conduct a short test ride for checking them. We stay overnight in a local house in Griz village.

  • Distance (Baku – Guba – Griz Village): 220 km

  • Starting altitude: 2020 m

  • Maximum altitude: 2200 m

  • Ending altitude: 2020 m

Day 2: Griz Village – Alik Village – Haput Village – Khinaliq Village

After breakfast in Griz village, we head towards Alik village. We continue our journey along the White River to reach Haput village. After exploring the village, we continue towards Khinaliq village. We cross the Haput Pass at an altitude of 2500 m and descend to the Gudyal River. Following the Gudyal River, we reach Khinaliq village. We leave the horses to rest, explore the village, and settle in a guesthouse. We stay overnight in a guesthouse in Khinaliq.

Day 3: Khinaliq Village – Galakhudat Village – Griz Village

After breakfast in Khinaliq village, we head towards Griz village via a historic route. First, we reach Galakhudat village. After a lunch break in Galakhudat, we continue towards Griz village. We pass over the Gudyal River Canyon and reach Griz village.

  • Ending altitude: 2020 m

Day 4: Khinaliq Village – Galakhudat Village – Griz Village

After breakfast in Griz, we head towards Griz Dehne village. Passing through the Griz pastures, we visit the Griz Dehne waterfall and reach Griz Dehne village. Then, we depart for Baku.

  • Ending altitude: 1300 m
