Before joining the summit cultural tour, it is important to familiarize yourself with the route’s difficulty level, required equipment, the cultural and historical sites to be visited, distance, and weather conditions. This will help you move more comfortably and safely throughout the tour.
Travel Itinerary:
DAY 1: Airport → Baku → Hotel
Guests are welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport and transferred to the hotel. Depending on the flight arrival time, a city tour may be arranged.
Overnight in Baku hotel.
DAY 2: Baku → Gobustan → Mud Volcanoes → Ateshgah → Yanardag → Baku
Breakfast at the hotel.
We visit Gobustan State Historical and Artistic Reserve – a settlement area from the Mesolithic period (12th–8th centuries BC). Later, we will see the mud volcanoes, including the Toragay volcano (approx. 400 m), one of the world's largest and most active volcanoes.
After lunch, we visit the Ateshgah Temple (15th–17th century) and Yanardag.
Overnight: Baku.
DAY 3: Baku → Guba → Khinalig → Kharibulbul Summit (2783 m)
After breakfast, we drive from Baku to Guba (approx. 3 hours). After final shopping in Guba, we head to Khinalig village (approx. 2 hours). We stay overnight at a guesthouse.
After lunch, we hike to Kharibulbul summit (2783 m) for acclimatization, then return to the village and stay overnight at the guesthouse.

DAY 4: Khinalig → Shahyayla → Bazarduzu Camp 3250 m
After breakfast, we set off by 4x4 vehicles toward Bazarduzu Mountain. The approx. 2-hour journey passes through Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service checkpoint. Along the way, we stop at Shahyaylaq plateau, famous for Azerbaijan’s 4000-meter peaks, and enjoy its unique panoramic views.
We continue by vehicle to 2,900 meters, from where we hike (with backpacks carried by horses) for about 2 hours to reach the camp at 3,250 meters. After arrival, we set up tents and have lunch.
In the afternoon, we hike up to 3,400 meters. Returning to the camp, we prepare for the final ascent to Bazarduzu summit and rest.

DAY 5: Bazarduzu Camp → Bazarduzu Summit → Khinalig → Baku
We wake up at 04:00 and start the ascent to Bazarduzu Summit. Reaching the summit takes approximately 6–7 hours, and descent to the camp takes 2–3 hours. After packing the tents, we return to Khinalig village and spend the night there.

DAY 6: Baku → Airport Transfer
After breakfast at the hotel, guests are transferred to the airport, concluding the trip.

- 50–70 L backpack
- Waterproof/breathable pants and jacket (GORE-TEX), warm sweater (fleece), thermal underwear, hat
- Waterproof mountain boots, gaiters
- Climbing helmet, sunglasses, headlamp, spare batteries
- Trekking poles
- Tent (provided by us)
- Sleeping mat and sleeping bag
- Camp stoves and kitchen utensils
- Water bottle
- Personal hygiene items

- Registration and Permits: Participants must register at least 30 days in advance and make full payment to join the tour.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Cancellation 30 days before the tour: full refund
- Cancellation 15 days before: 70% refund (30% retained)
- Cancellation 7 days before: 50% refund
- Cancellation 5 days or less: no refund
- Tour Program Changes: The tour leader has the right to change or cancel the program due to weather, public events, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Group Size: 3, 7, or 14 people. For different group requirements, contact us for individual pricing.
- Mobile Connection: Mobile signal may not be available in some mountain areas. The best coverage is through the Azercell operator.
- Food and Equipment: Participants are responsible for food preparation and meals in the mountains.
- Special Requests: If you want to add or remove locations or meals from the tour, please contact us.
- Tips: Giving tips is optional and at your discretion.
