Mount Shahnazar is a 2,874-meter-high peak located on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains of Azerbaijan, on the border between Shamakhi and Guba districts. It is considered the highest point of Shamakhi District and occupies an important position in the region's orographic structure.

The geological structure of Mount Shahnazar mainly consists of sedimentary rocks dating back to the Paleozoic and Mesozoic periods, including layers of shale, limestone, and sandstone. The terrain is characterized by steep slopes, rocky formations, and deeply dissected landscapes. The surrounding area is rich in deep valleys, mountain-stream gorges, and depressions. The southern foothills of the mountain feature subalpine and alpine meadows, while the higher elevations are characterized by rocky terrain and sparse vegetation.

Mount Shahnazar is also significant from a hydrographic perspective. Some tributaries of the Pirsaat River originate from this mountain and play an important role in the region's water balance.
