Before joining the summit tour, we recommend familiarizing yourself with all the details of the tour. This is especially useful for those climbing a summit for the first time and will help you avoid unexpected situations. Knowing in advance about the physical challenges, route length, and weather conditions will help you be properly prepared.
Day 1: Baku – Khinalig – Shahyaylag – Camp 3,250 m
We depart from Baku for Guba (approximately 3 hours). After making our final purchases in Guba, we continue toward Khinalig village (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival in Khinalig, we continue by mountain vehicles to the first camp of Mount Zafar (approximately 2 hours). The first camp is located at an altitude of 2,900 meters. Here, we complete our final preparations, take our camping equipment, and continue toward the second camp located at an altitude of 3,250 meters (approximately 2 hours).
Day 2: Camp – Zafar Summit – Camp
At 04:00 in the morning, we begin our ascent toward Zafar Summit (4,300 m). The ascent to the summit takes approximately 7–8 hours, while the descent takes 4–5 hours. After completing our summit climb, we return to camp and spend the night in tents at the second camp.
Day 3: Camp – Khinalig – Baku
After breakfast, we pack our tents and at 10:00 begin descending toward the point where the vehicles are waiting. From there, we travel by mountain vehicles to Khinalig village. In Khinalig, we change vehicles and continue our journey back to Baku.

Required Equipment:
Mountaineering boots, waterproof warm trousers (Gore-Tex), waterproof warm jacket (Gore-Tex), sleeping bag, trekking poles, cooking equipment, gas stove and canister, tent, headlamp, gaiters, hat, sunglasses, gloves, socks, thermal underwear, fleece jacket, sleeping mat, tent, etc.

Registration and Permits: Participants are required to register and make full payment at least 30 days before the tour. During this period, participants must provide a copy of their passport so that the necessary permits can be obtained from Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If the tour is cancelled 30 days or more before the tour date, the full amount will be refunded.

If cancelled 15 days before the tour, 70% of the amount will be refunded (30% will be retained).

If cancelled 7 days before the tour, 50% of the amount will be refunded.

Reservations cancelled 5 days or less before the tour are non-refundable.

Changes to the Tour Program: The tour leader reserves the right to modify or cancel the program due to weather conditions, public events, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Group Size: Groups can consist of 3, 7, or 14 participants. Please contact us for a customized price if you have different group requirements.

Mobile Communication: Mobile phone coverage may not be available in some areas of the mountains. The best coverage is generally provided by Azercell.

Food and Equipment: Participants are responsible for their own food and cooking arrangements in the mountains.
