I was born in 1989 in Baku. My interest in history led me to pursue a path in academia, specializing in this field, and I began to deeply explore different periods of Azerbaijani history. I graduated with honors in both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Baku State University and embarked on an academic career. As a teacher, researcher, and scholar, I completed my scientific research on the population during the Safavid period and obtained a PhD in history. Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor of Azerbaijani History at Baku Engineering University.
My academic work is not confined to the walls of the university. As the author of 1 book, co-author of 5 books, a member of the editorial board of 1 atlas, and the editor of 7 books, I continue to contribute to the study of Azerbaijani history. I have authored more than 30 scientific articles and successfully completed specialized courses at international platforms such as Arizona State University, Stanford University, the University of California, and other prestigious institutions.
However, history is not only written in archives – it lives on mountain peaks, in forgotten villages, and in the destinies of people. Since 2012, traveling to mountain villages to explore local culture and our ancient history has become a true passion for me. Every journey is not just about learning the past, but also uncovering the forgotten pages of our history. I compile my research in articles and strive to share our historical and cultural heritage with a wider audience.
I have set out to find the traces of the past not only in the pages of books but in the very soil. History speaks – and I am here to listen and share it.
