Before joining the summit tour, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with all the details of the tour. This is especially useful for those heading to the summit for the first time and will help you avoid unexpected situations. Being informed in advance about physical challenges, route length, and weather conditions will ensure that you are well prepared.
Day 1: Baku – Khinalig – Shahyaylag – Camp 3250 m
We depart from Baku to Quba city (approximately 3 hours). After final shopping in Quba, we continue towards Khinalig village (approximately 2 hours). After arriving in Khinalig, we head to the first camp of Mount Bazarduzu by off-road vehicles (approximately 2 hours). The first camp is located at an altitude of 2900 meters. Here we complete our final preparations and proceed to the second camp at 3250 meters, carrying our camp equipment (approximately 2 hours).
Day 2: Camp – Bazarduzu Summit – Camp
We start the hike to the Bazarduzu summit (4466 m) at 04:00 in the morning. The ascent takes approximately 7–8 hours, and the descent takes 4–5 hours. After reaching the summit, we continue towards Zafar Peak (4301 m). Then we return to the camp and spend the night in tents at the second camp.
Day 3: Camp – Khinalig – Baku
After breakfast, we pack our tents and start descending at 10:00 to the point where the vehicles are waiting. From there, we return to Khinalig village by off-road vehicles. In Khinalig, we change transportation and head back to Baku.

Required Equipment:
Mountaineering boots, waterproof warm pants (Gore-Tex), waterproof jacket (Gore-Tex), sleeping bag, trekking poles, cooking equipment, gas stove and canister, tent, headlamp, gaiters, hat, sunglasses, gloves, socks, thermal underwear, fleece jacket, sleeping mat, tent, etc.
Additional Information and Terms
- Registration and Permits: To participate in the tour, registration and full payment must be completed at least 30 days in advance. Participants must provide a copy of their passport in order to obtain permits from Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Full refund if canceled 30 days before the tour
- 70% refund if canceled 15 days before the tour (30% retained)
- 50% refund if canceled 7 days before the tour
- No refund if canceled 5 days or less before the tour
- Program Changes: The tour leader reserves the right to modify or cancel the program due to weather conditions, public events, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Group Size: Groups can consist of 3, 7, or 14 people. For different group requirements, please contact us for a custom price.
- Mobile Network: Mobile coverage may not be available in some mountain areas. The best connection is usually provided by Azercell.
- Food and Equipment: Food and cooking in mountain conditions are the responsibility of the participants.
- Custom Requests: If you want to add or remove locations or meals from the tour program, please contact us.
- Tips: Tipping is optional and based on your satisfaction with the service.
