Before joining the 2-day Mount Yarudag Summit Tour, it is important to familiarize yourself with the demanding pace of the route, the required equipment, the camps and mountain landscapes you will visit, the distance, and the expected weather conditions. This will help you move more comfortably, safely, and efficiently throughout the tour.
Day 1: Baku → Guba → Khinalig → Yarudag Camp
We depart from Baku toward Khinalig Village in Guba District (approximately 5 hours). After completing our final shopping in Guba, we continue toward Khinalig.
From Khinalig Village, we continue toward Yarudag Camp by mountain vehicles (approximately 2 hours). At an altitude of approximately 2,900 meters, we leave the vehicles and continue on foot for about 45 minutes to reach the camp at an elevation of 3,000 meters.
After reaching the camp, we set up our tents and rest, followed by a short acclimatization hike. After dinner, we complete our preparations for the summit ascent and spend the night resting.
Day 2: Yarudag Camp → Mount Yarudag Summit → Yarudag Camp → Baku
At 04:00 in the morning, we begin our ascent to Mount Yarudag Summit. After approximately 6–7 hours of hiking, we reach the summit at an elevation of 4,116 meters. Here, we take a short rest, enjoy the spectacular views, and take commemorative photographs.
We then begin our descent toward the camp. After approximately 3–4 hours of descent, we reach the camp, pack our tents, and begin our journey back to Baku.
