Before joining the trekking tour, it is important to familiarize yourself with all the tour details. This is especially useful for those hiking in the mountains for the first time and helps prevent unexpected situations. Knowing the route’s difficulty level, required equipment, distance, and weather conditions in advance will make your journey more comfortable and safe.

Travel Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport → Baku → Hotel
  • We welcome our guests at Heydar Aliyev Airport.

  • Transfer to the hotel.

  • Depending on the flight arrival time, a city tour in Baku.

  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Baku.

Day 2: Baku → Quba → Griz Dəhna → Griz Village

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the Quba region. The journey from Baku to Quba takes approximately 3 hours. After some last-minute shopping in Quba, we continue to Griz Dəhna village (1 hour). From there, we start our hike along the historic "Eh Way" towards Griz village (4 hours). Upon arrival, we settle in guesthouses for the night.
After dinner, we spend the night in the village houses.

Day 3: Griz → Qalaxudat → Khinalug Village

After breakfast, we set off towards Khinalug village. While passing along the Gudialchay Canyon, we will have the chance to see the magnificent Gur-Gur Waterfall. We then continue our journey to Qalaxudat village.
After resting and having lunch in the village, we continue our hike to Khinalug village. Along the way, we explore the beauty of nature and visit historical landmarks upon arrival. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Khinalug village.

Day 4: Khinalig → Shahyayla → Bazarduzu Camp 3250 m

After breakfast, we set off towards Bazarduzu Mountain by 4x4 vehicles. Our approximately 2-hour journey passes through Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service checkpoint. Along the way, we stop at Shahyaylaq Plateau, famous for Azerbaijan's 4000-meter peaks, and enjoy the unique panoramic views.

We continue by vehicle, reaching an altitude of 2,900 meters. From here, with our backpacks (horses carry them), we hike for about 2 hours to the camp site at 3,250 meters. Upon arrival, we set up our tents and have lunch.

In the afternoon, we hike up to 3,400 meters. After returning to the camp, we make final preparations for the ascent to Bazarduzu Mountain and rest.

Day 5: Bazarduzu Camp → Bazarduzu Summit → Khinalig

We wake up at 04:00 and begin the ascent to Bazarduzu Summit. Reaching the summit takes approximately 6-7 hours, and the descent to the camp takes 2-3 hours. Upon returning to the camp, we pack our tents and head back to Khinalig village. Overnight stay in Khinalig.

Day 6: Baku City Tour

After breakfast, we return to Baku. After checking into the hotel, we start our city tour.

  • 50–70 liter backpack

  • Waterproof/breathable pants and jacket (GORE-TEX), warm sweater (polar), thermal underwear, and hat

  • Waterproof mountaineering boots, gaiters

  • Climbing helmet, sunglasses, headlamp, and spare batteries

  • Trekking poles

  • Tent (provided by us)

  • Sleeping mat and sleeping bag

  • Camp stoves and kitchen utensils

  • Water bottle

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Registration and Permit: Participants must register at least 30 days in advance and make full payment to join the tour.

  • Reservation Cancellation and Refund:

    • Full refund if canceled 30 days before the tour date.

    • 70% refund if canceled 15 days before the tour date (30% retained).

    • 50% refund if canceled 7 days before the tour date.

    • No refund for cancellations 5 days or less before the tour date.

  • Changes to the Tour Program: The tour leader reserves the right to modify or cancel the program due to weather, public events, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Group Size: Groups can be 3, 7, or 14 people. For different group requirements, please contact us for a custom price.

  • Mobile Connection: Mobile signal may be unavailable in some mountainous areas. Best coverage is through Azercell.

  • Food and Equipment: Participants are responsible for their own meals and cooking in the mountains.
