The Qizilqaya Range is one of the lateral ranges of the Caucasus Mountains and is located in the northeastern part of Azerbaijan, on the border of the Quba and Qusar districts. This mountain range consists of three main peaks: Ataturk Peak (3756 m), Heydar Aliyev Peak (3751 m), and Qizilqaya Peak (3726 m).
The Qizilqaya Range is geologically unique and is mainly composed of limestone and dolomite rocks. This region is known for its breathtaking nature, deep valleys, steep cliffs, and challenging trails. During the summer months, alpinists and hiking enthusiasts frequently visit this area.
The range is also rich in flora and fauna. It is home to rare plant species, mountain goats, eagles, and other birds of prey. In winter, Qizilqaya and its surrounding areas are covered with snow, turning it into an ideal location for skiing and extreme sports.
