Before joining the Babadağ summit tour, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with all the details of the trip. This is especially useful for those embarking on this journey for the first time and will help you avoid unexpected surprises. Being informed in advance about the physical challenges, route length, and weather conditions will ensure you are well-prepared.
Day 1: Baku – Lahij – Qurbangah Camp
We depart from Baku to the Lahıc settlement in the Ismayilli region (3 hours). After a 10-minute break in Shamakhi, we continue our journey towards Lahıc. Upon reaching Lahıc, we change vehicles and set off in a GAZ-66 truck towards Qurbangah, located near the source of the Girdiman River at the foot of Mount Babadağ. The route with the GAZ-66 will pass through forested areas and riverbeds. At an altitude of 2200 meters, we set up our tents near Qurbangah. After a rest and lunch break, we will take a hike to an area known as Dervish Path (2400 m) to acclimate to the mountain and altitude. After dinner, silence prevails in the campsite at 22:00, marking bedtime.
Day 2: Qurbangah – Babadağ Summit – Lahij – Baku
We depart from Baku towards Lahij settlement in the Ismayilli region (approximately 3 hours). After a 10-minute break in Shamakhi, we continue our journey towards Lahij. Upon reaching Lahij, we switch vehicles and set off in a GAZ-66 truck towards the foothills of Babadağ, near the source of the Girdiman River, in a place known as Qurbangah.
The route taken by the GAZ-66 will pass through forested areas and riverbeds. At an altitude of 2200 meters, we set up our tents near Qurbangah. After a rest and lunch break, we embark on a hike to Dervish Path (2400 m) to acclimatize to the mountain and altitude.
After dinner, at 22:00, silence prevails in the campsite, and it is time to sleep.
