The pearl of the Lesser Caucasus, Mount Kapaz (3066 m), fascinates every traveler with its majestic stance and history. This magnificent mountain, rising in the enchanting nature of the Göygöl region, is located on the northern slope of the Murovdag range and is surrounded by steep cliffs on the northern side and relatively smooth slopes on the southern side.

As a result of a powerful earthquake in 1139, huge rock fragments of Mount Kapaz collapsed into the Aghsu River valley, blocking its flow and leading to the formation of Goygol, Maralgol, and other magical lakes. This disaster turned into a breathtaking natural wonder.

Mount Kapaz is one of the unique destinations for adventure enthusiasts, nature photographers, and ecotourism lovers. It offers perfect opportunities for hiking and trekking, mountaineering, and photo and video shoots. Before joining the Kəpəz peak tour, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with all the details about the tour. This is especially useful for those embarking on the journey for the first time and will help you avoid surprises. Being informed in advance about physical challenges, the length of the route, and weather conditions will ensure you are well-prepared.

Day 1: Baku-Goygol-Togana Village

We set off from Baku to Togana village in the Goygol region, a 5-hour journey. We set up our tents in Goygol National Park. After lunch, we take a hiking trip to Goygol for altitude acclimatization. After exploring Goygol, we return to our tents. Following dinner, we complete our summit preparations and rest.

Day 2: Togana Village- Goygol NP- Kəpəz Summit- Baku

At 05:00 AM, we board 4x4 vehicles and head towards Khan Spring at the foothills of Kəpəz Mountain. The vehicle journey takes 2 hours. We then begin our ascent to Kəpəz Mountain. The hike to the summit takes approximately 3-4 hours.

Upon reaching the summit, we will witness a breathtaking view of lakes in Goygol National Park, villages of Goygol region, and the highest peaks of the Lesser Caucasus. After taking summit photos, we begin our descent to the campsite. The descent takes 2 hours.

After descending, we depart for Togana village by vehicle. After a short rest, we head back to Baku.

Registration and Permission: To participate in the tour, registration and full payment are required at least 30 days in advance. Participants must submit a copy of their passport for obtaining permissions from Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Full refund for cancellations made 30 days before the tour date.
- 70% refund for cancellations made 15 days prior (30% retained).
- 50% refund for cancellations made 7 days before.
- No refund for cancellations made within 5 days of the tour.
Tour Program Changes: The tour leader reserves the right to modify or cancel the itinerary due to weather conditions, public events, or unforeseen circumstances.
