Before joining the Cumhuriyyat Summit Tour, we recommend familiarizing yourself with all the details of the tour. This is especially useful for those attempting the summit for the first time and will help you avoid unexpected situations. Being informed in advance about the physical challenges, route length, and weather conditions will help you prepare properly for the expedition.
Day 1: Baku–Guba–Khinalig–Shahyaylag Camp
We depart from Baku and travel to Guba city (approximately 3 hours). After making our final purchases, we continue towards Khinalig village (approximately 2 hours). After reaching Khinalig, we switch to off-road mountain vehicles and head towards Shahyaylag. Along the way, we pass through checkpoints operated by the State Border Service and Shahdag National Park (approximately 1 hour).
At Shahyaylag, near Abilshah (2,600 m), we set up our tents and take an acclimatization hike. We spend the night in tents.
Day 2: Shahyaylag Camp–Cumhuriyyat Summit–Shahyaylag Camp–Khinalig–Baku
Wake-up time is 04:00.
After breakfast and completing our preparations, we set off towards Cumhuriyyat Summit. The ascent to the summit takes approximately 5–6 hours. After completing our summit activities, we descend back towards the camp, which takes approximately 3 hours. Once we reach the camp area, we pack up our tents and head towards Khinalig village. In Khinalig, we board our Sprinter and begin our journey back to Baku. We arrive in Baku at approximately 22:00.

Required Equipment:
Mountaineering boots, waterproof warm trousers (Gore-Tex), waterproof warm jacket (Gore-Tex), sleeping bag, trekking poles, cooking equipment, gas stove and gas canister, tent, headlamp, gaiters, hat, sunglasses, gloves, socks, thermal underwear, fleece jacket, sleeping mat, tent, etc.

Registration and Permits: To participate in the tour, registration and full payment must be completed at least 30 days in advance. During this period, participants must provide a copy of their passport so that the necessary permits can be obtained from Shahdag National Park and the State Border Service.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

If the tour is cancelled 30 days or more before the tour date, the full amount will be refunded.

If the tour is cancelled 15 days before the tour date, 70% of the payment will be refunded (30% will be retained).

If the tour is cancelled 7 days before the tour date, 50% of the payment will be refunded.

No refund will be provided for reservations cancelled 5 days or less before the tour date.

Changes to the Tour Program: Due to weather conditions, public events, or other unforeseen circumstances, the tour leader reserves the right to modify or cancel the program.

Group Size: Groups can consist of 3, 7, or 14 participants. For different group requirements, please contact us to receive a customized quotation.

Mobile Communication: Mobile coverage may not be available in some areas of the mountains. The best mobile coverage is generally available through Azercell.

Food and Equipment: Food and cooking arrangements in the mountains are the responsibility of the participant.
